Pay for placed links or exchange them from your site?
LinkDR is a managed backlink service. You pick a Domain Rating tier and how many links you want; LinkDR finds sites that write about your topic, emails the editor, writes a new article, pays the publisher and checks that your link is live. Your coding agent can plan the order through LinkDR's SKILL.md and hand you a checkout URL, but it does not pay or send email.
LinkBunny is not a service that places links for you. It is an exchange for people who run sites. Your coding agent places a relevant nofollow link on your site when a request fits, and other participating sites can be matched to link to yours. You need a site that can publish links, not a placement budget.

Choose LinkDR
Buy a set number of links
You choose a tier and a count, and LinkDR says most links go live in 3–4 weeks, with a refund for any link not live within 60 days. LinkBunny promises no count or date.
LinkBunny may fit
Exchange links between working sites
Your agent assesses each request and places a nofollow link only where it fits your content. There is no per-link fee, and some check-ins return nothing.
Choose neither
You need a guaranteed ranking
LinkDR says it does not guarantee a search position. LinkBunny makes no ranking promise either.
At a glance
A paid service and an exchange solve different problems
LinkDR sells finished placements on sites you do not run. LinkBunny needs your site to contribute placements, and costs the same whether a month brings one request or none.
| Decision field | LinkDR | LinkBunny |
|---|---|---|
| Model | Managed link building: outreach, article, publisher payment | Exchange between participating sites, run by your coding agent |
| What you need | A target page, keywords, competitors and a budget | A site where you can publish relevant links, plus a coding agent |
| Price | Per live link: DR 30+ $160, DR 40+ $280, DR 50+ $400, DR 60+ $500. Monthly campaigns take 15% off. | First exchange free for one site, no card. Then $20/month for up to 10 active sites, no per-link fee. |
| Extras | +20% for listicle or product-review content; +20% to approve every site first. $25 off a first one-time order. | None. You approve each placement on your own site. |
| Link attribute | Listed as a contextual dofollow link | nofollow required on every exchanged link |
| Who writes | LinkDR writes a new article for the publisher | Your agent edits your existing content; no article is supplied |
| Agent support | SKILL.md plans an order and returns a checkout URL. The MCP reads projects, orders, outreach progress and live links. | Skill, local MCP or HTTPS API for setup, check-in, placement and reporting |
| Timing | Most links live in 3–4 weeks | No date or quantity guarantee |
| If a link fails | Full refund if not live within 60 days; free replacement if removed within 12 months | No permanence guarantee; reports are recorded, not crawled |
LinkDR's timing, refund, replacement and traffic figures are its own published terms and were not independently tested.
LinkDR charges for each live link. You get a defined order, with LinkDR doing the publisher work.
LinkBunny charges nothing for the first exchange and $20/month after that. You do the publishing on your own site through your agent, and there is no fixed number of links.

How each workflow works
Ordering placements versus checking in for a request
LinkDR's agent path ends at a checkout URL; people at LinkDR do the outreach after you pay. LinkBunny's agent path keeps going: it places links on your site and reports them.
MANAGED_ORDERLinkDR
- 1Plan the order
Add your page, keywords and competitors, or let your agent fetch SKILL.md and propose a tier mix within your budget.
- 2Pay at checkout
You open the checkout URL and pay. LinkDR has no checkout API by design.
- 3LinkDR runs outreach
It finds sites that link to competitors or rank for your keywords, emails editors, writes the articles and pays publishers.
- 4Links go live
LinkDR checks each link and emails you. The MCP can report which links are live.
EXCHANGE_ASSIGNMENTLinkBunny
- 1Add your site
Your coding agent uses the Skill, MCP or API to register the target page and the part of your site where it can place links. LinkBunny reviews the site.
- 2Check in
The agent asks for one placement request. The response can be a request or nothing suitable yet.
- 3Place a nofollow link
The agent finds a spot in relevant content and shows you the proposed
nofollowlink. You approve it before it goes live, or the agent rejects the request. - 4Verify and report
The agent checks the live link and reports it. Another participating site can be matched to link to yours, and its owner approves that placement the same way.

Pricing and value boundaries
What a first month costs
These numbers show how each bill works, not equal deliverables. A LinkDR order buys specific placements; LinkBunny buys participation.
LinkDR, one link
$160–$500
One live link costs $160 at DR 30+ up to $500 at DR 60+. A monthly campaign takes 15% off, so a DR 40+ link is $238 instead of $280.
LinkDR, three links
$815
Three DR 40+ links at $280 each come to $840; the $25 first-order credit brings that to $815, before the optional 20% add-ons.
LinkBunny
Free, then $20/month
The first exchange is free for one site, with no card: one placement from your site and one link to it, in either order. After that, the founding plan is $20/month for up to 10 active sites with no per-link fee. Some check-ins return no request.

Agent, API and automation
Two agent workflows with different stopping points
Both products give your coding agent something to fetch. LinkDR's agent plans a purchase; LinkBunny's agent does the exchange work on your site.
LinkDR from an agent
- Fetch SKILL.md, read your site and budget, and pick Domain Rating tiers.
- Return one checkout URL for you to open and pay.
- Read projects, orders, outreach progress and live links through the MCP.
- The agent does not charge a card or send email.
LinkBunny from an agent
- Register your site and the area where it can place links.
- Check in for one request and assess whether it fits your content.
- Prepare the
nofollowlink for your approval, then publish it through your normal workflow. - Verify the live link and report it, or reject the request.

Link qualification and publication
Paid dofollow placement or exchanged nofollow link
LinkDR's page lists a publisher payment and a contextual dofollow link with every order. LinkBunny requires nofollow and involves no payment to publishers.
LinkBunny placement
Every exchanged link uses nofollow, and your agent can reject a request with no suitable context. LinkBunny does not promise ranking credit.
LinkDR placement
LinkDR pays the publisher and describes each link as contextual dofollow. Ask how the publisher marks the article, and check the final page.
- Google lists buying or selling links for ranking purposes as link spam and asks for paid links to be qualified with
sponsoredornofollow. - Google also lists excessive link exchanges as link spam. Relevance and restraint matter in an exchange too.
- No link attribute guarantees indexing, traffic, rankings, AI mentions or revenue.

Before accepting a published placement, use the backlink placement checker with the publisher's page and agreed destination. Compare matching anchor text and rel attributes in the returned HTML with your placement requirements.
Site-owner scenarios
Pick by what you already have
Budget, time and a site you can publish on point to different choices.
Choose LinkDR
Funded startup launching a feature page
The team wants six links from blogs in its market within a month and has the budget. It does not want to write or pitch.
LinkBunny may fit
Indie developer with two blogs
The developer already uses Claude Code on both sites and wants relevant links without paying per link. Uneven timing is fine.
Use both
SaaS with a docs site and a budget
Paid placements cover a launch page; the docs site joins the exchange for ongoing contextual links. The two jobs do not conflict.
Choose by operating model
Who should choose LinkDR or LinkBunny
Choose by whether you want to buy outcomes or take part in an exchange.
Choose LinkBunny if
- You run a site that can publish relevant
nofollowlinks. - You want your coding agent to handle the exchange, with your approval on each placement.
- You prefer a flat $20/month after a free first exchange to paying per link.
Choose LinkDR if
- You want a set number of placements on sites you do not run.
- You have budget for $160–$500 per link and want articles written for you.
- You want refund and replacement terms tied to each link.
Choose neither if
- You need guaranteed rankings, traffic or AI mentions.
- You cannot check the final page and how the link is marked.
Important limitations and unknowns
What this comparison cannot settle
- LinkDR's prices, add-ons, timing and refund terms are from its public pages on 29 October 2026 and can change.
- LinkDR's traffic ranges per tier are Ahrefs estimates it publishes; they were not checked here.
- LinkDR says it does not promise rankings or that an AI will name you.
- LinkBunny's pool is small and strongest in software, SaaS and adjacent categories. A check-in can return no request.
- LinkBunny records reports from participants and does not crawl pages to keep checking links.
